Lawson Group receive 2022/23 ARCA Gold Site Audit Award

Lawson Group have once again achieved a Gold Site Audit Award from the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA). You may notice that this is not the first time we have shouted about achieving this award, as we received the same accolade back in 2020.

Who is ARCA?

Asbestos Removal Contractors Association, (ARCA), is an organisation that represents and supports asbestos removal contractors in the UK. They aim to maintain high standards and promote safe practices within the industry. From its inception in 1980, the Association has gained credibility with HSE, the Government, local authorities, and all those concerned with safety in the occupational handling and removal of asbestos materials.

Members of ARCA are seen as specialists in this complex and hazardous industry and are recognised for their professionalism and quality of work. Clients know when they choose ARCA members they are hiring contractors from the best selection of contractors. Lawson Group have been an accredited member of ARCA since obtaining our Asbestos Removal License from the HSE in 2009.

So what is a Gold Site Award?

To gain this award, asbestos removal companies need to achieve Grades A-C, (averaging at least a B Grade), across all SAAS programmed unannounced site audits, across two membership years. The applicant for this award must have achieved this for 6 consecutive audits. They must not be subject to any prohibition notice or prosecution for asbestos work during the qualifying period.
